Social Media Internship

In 2021 I participated in a semester long internship with the Global Learning Department at the University of Canberra. The goal of this internship was for me to create a social media campaign that would re-launch the exchange program after the covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, travel bans were extended and the campaign was unable to run, but the plan and collateral that was created will be kept for the eventual re-launch.

Outbound Exchange Proposal 1&2.PNG

Proposal

This proposal outlines the original plan for the campaign, and details the key aspects of the audience, content and timeline.

This example demonstrates my ability to research and construct a campaign and highlights my writing and communication skills.

Video

The second part of the campaign was this video, intended to explain exchange and its benefits to future and current students. This short video also acts a a soft call to action, encouraging students to start planning their exchange as soon as possible.

I created this video using Synfig Studios, an open source animation software, wrote my own script and recorded the voice over.

This project required a steep learning curve and strict time management, and demonstrates my creativity and innovation skills.

Instagram Content Bank

The final task of the campaign was creating a social media content bank comprised of Instagram content that would be ready to be posted once the campaign was able to run. This content included destination highlights for groups of exchange partners broken down into 12 regions.

The posts for each region are made up of 5 images, original copy and a call to action. The images on the left show mock up examples of the posts for Canada and Scandinavia.
